The Crazy Hat Lady ...

What I wore to the flea market a couple of weeks ago ... late 40s dress: eBay // 40s blazer: from a Berlin shop that's gone // vintage shoes: flea market // 50s-60s purse: thrifted // 40s-50s straw hat: thrifted in the USA // 60s earclips: Bahar Berlin Edeltrash

For some obviuos reasons I'm not The Crazy Cat Lady ... but for sure The Crazy Hat Lady ... This year I wasn't able to let only one vintage hat behind ... They all had to come home with me.
On this day I found three late 30s hats on teh flea market for a steal. They need a little love but they are amazing. Two are in the last picture ... Hat maniac with a happy face!

Blood and Roses

I wore this dress end of July, the day before my birthday .... 1950s dress: Resales Store // vintage belt: thrifted // shoes: flea market // 50s wickerpurse: thrifted in the US ...

I wear this dress rarely, because it's a bitch (sorry), if it comes to washing. The colour bleeds.
Just yesterday I had to give it a soak and I did my best. Ice cold water, soap just on the stain  - caused by a belt I wore with it a while ago - and underarm erea ... I was so excited when I saw that the water stayed clear, when I checked on it.
Shock, when I lifted the dress out of the water, a waterfall of blood red water rushed down from the rose boarder of the skirt. Me: Yelling words I don't remember! But right away I turned on the cold water and let it run over the affected parts. Sweat from fear was running over my face.
In the end I suppose, I was lucky, I just found one spot in the rose boarder that is still redish.

Did you had experiences like this while soaking and handwashing your vintage?

Still Alive And Posting ...

A couple of Sundays back I wore this look to the flea market ... 30s-40s dress: Schwarze Truhe Berlin (Today:Vintage Berlin) // vintage leather belt: Arkona Platz Flea Market // Swedish Hasbeens: flea market // 1950s wickerpurse: Alameda Flea Market, CA from @ReneeUnderwood // 30s-40s straw hat: thrifted in Oregon // ear screw ons: antique mall

Sorry for the absence ... There was and still is so much going on in my life, that diszracts me from reading blogs and writing posts - but I'm still shooting some outfits (not just with the smartphone).
I got a new work contract trough my company and I will work a few more hours a week on a regular base in the future. Aaaand the best thing -  I don't have to share my pay with a temp agency anymore. My pay is my pay. Yay. I feel happy and appreciated - and their will be still enough time left to take care about my tiny Vintage Etsy Shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
