Inspiration From The Past // Photoalbum // 1939-41

 

 

 

 

the bf found a photo album on a local flea market some weeks ago ... i suppose this was the album of this beautiful dark haired teenie lady above showing pictures from her friends and family ... the pictures are mostly shot between 1939 and 1941 (her portait was shot in 1936). She lifed in a town close to the city i live in  in the south of germany. her life seemed to be so peaceful, she propably traveled a lot (photos from skiing, vienna, ...) ... and she was dressed quite fancy some times ... look at her amazing spotted animal print coat and her gorgeous hats. WW2 doesn't seem to affect her life this time ... i'd wish i could find out more about her and her life. ... isn't she lovely?

Office Girl ... Back To Front

i wore this gorgeous h&m top back to front because when i tried to put it on, i found out that i wasn't able to close the buttons on the back on my own. without the bf's help i wouldn't be able to put it on - or even to take it off at night. so i decided to wear it back to front. not too bad.

underneath the blouse i wore ski underwear to keep my  hurting back warm. it's much better but i still feel it. thank you so much for you lovely wishes!

yesterday and today i stayed at home because i got sick this weekend. i have a bad hurting back, hurting bones, the worsed headache ever and little fever ... on monday i wasn't able to do anything else than to spend the whole day in bed suffering. so i leave you with an oufit from last week. it was shot when wheather was still a little warmer ... this look is nothing special but who wears a petticoat to work?

First Snow

Hat Day

satursday's flea market outfit ... trench: primark // 70s dress with a 40s twist: ebay // tights: aldi // 90s booties: flea market // hat: vintage, from berlin // straw bag: flea market ... this saturday we went to two flea markets in aroudn the town we live and as i was wearing a hat this morning i scored on a total of 7 vintage hats ... propably this was the last big flea market weekend this year. the weatherman says it starts freezing and propably snowing the upcoming weekend.

 

 this red cutie from the 50s need to get refubished. it need a new ribbon and a new lace.

 

this one is in a perfect condition ... it's colour is not too perfect for a blonde like me but it fits perfectly. ha, and of course i found an amazing little50s/60s leather bag. isn't it cool ith those studs?

... this red soft cap i also got in creme ... and this summery 50s piece is actually my fav but it doens't fit too good. i will have to play around with it ... propably i have to find the perfect hairdo to make it fit better ... those earrings i found on the flea market as well. didn't pictured two sixties hats ...

advice: what i learned this weekend, if you want to buy a hat (or more) on a flea market wear one! when i passed by some seller's stalls they started talking to me because of the hat i wore and then they unpacked their little treasures ... all in all i spent 16€ on all hats i got this day. mega score!

pencil skirt

some of you might know, that i really have problems to find good fitting pencil skirts. normally a pencil skirt that fits on the hips is far too wide on the waist and a skirt that would fit on the waist perfectly would be far too slim to get pulled over my wide hips ... this is one of the reasons i prefer wide and flared skirts ...

some days ago i found this soft and stretchy pencil skirt. it fits almost perfectly, it's super comftable, warm and - ha - i'm able to ride a bike when i wear it. i suppose, you will see this skirt a lot this winter season ...
