i'm off work for one tiny little week for holidays ... trying to meet some friends, family members, to do a little thrift shopping ... and sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. the upcoming months at work will be hard as hell! hopefully i don't have to spend my whole week off in the snow ...

Get Rid Of Your Gloves ...

since i started to take burlesque classes some years ago i'm not able to get off my gloves without a little teasing ... hehehe. ... vintage cardi: ebay // top: h&m // vintage skirt: thrifted // vintage aigner belt: thrifted // boots: buffalo // vintage hat: flea market // 50s gloves: ebay ... if you look closely: i'm wearing heels! this was the first time i went out with heels higher than 4 cm since i broke my foot.

here are some of my recent finds from vintage land ... pink cotton 1940s dress from ebay ... black & white atomic age print handmade dress from the 50s. i found it on ebay as well ... another great bargain is this black late 50s suit with a leopard spotted fur collar. the skirt is almost under knee length. sadly this suit is a little too big for me but i had to get it ... just as the suit i found these biker lace-up boots at my fav thrift store in town. i can't wait to wear them at warmer days with some cowgirl outfits.
 - for all the finds together i had to spent just 57,50€.

Inspiration From The Past // 1940

Four Hats

today i post some of my new hats that i adopted in the last weeks ... ... this one i found at a local thrift store which is actually toally overpriced. but last weekend they had a  50% off on everything. i got it for 3,50€. i'm not the best person in dating hats but this seems to be from the 40s ... it's not in the best condition but it fits me perfectly.

this beautiful but strange little number i found on ebay ... it's made from straw and several kind of fabrics. sadly the net is almost gone. i'ts totally lovable but i suspect i have to by the matching gown ... this little number from the 50s is so special. there's a label in the hat, i'm not able to read the squiggly writing.

 

the perfect burleque hat (perfect reproduction). this one i got on ebay as well. actually this hat isn't from my fave era but it's from the same seller i won another hat from (the one above). i love to save shipping costs by buying two or more pieces from one seller.  sadly i stopped burlesque dancing last year because of the broken foot.

 

another 50s piece ... i got it for 3€ at the thrift store ... it's gorgeous but it feels like it's not made for me.

yesterday it got to dark to take more proper pictures of some more new hats. so, my new fav fav fav favourite hat is still not posted so stay tuned ....

Sick In The Hat

here it is again, the hat. the one and only hat. ... but i found a couple of gorgeous hats from the 50s while the bf and i went thrifting past friday ... and i'm waiting for some more great vintage hats i won on ebay ... hat-ilicous!

Went Thrift Shopping ...

on friday i took a day off from work ... before the bf and i left the k-town to go to visit the family we went a little thrift shopping ... this is what i wore ... cardi: h&m //skirt: thrifted // belt: primark // boogie woogie dancing shoes: bleyle // 40's bag: ebay (did some research, this bag must be from the 40s - any other ideas?) // hat: flea market ...

... tomorrow i go back to work after nice 3 days being off. ... but before i have to see the dentist and the orthopaedic specialist ... aaaaw!

Hat Love

today -with this post- i want to join 'getrödelt gefunden gefreut'. this little project from one of my fav german 40s/50s inspired blog beswingtes allerlei. on every first of the month you can present your favourite findings from flea markets, thrifd stores or ebay/etsy ... but it's all about ooooold vintage stuff (no things from the 80s ...).

i know, i posted this gorgeous hat already but to me this little piece is the most perfect little hat i ever found. it's from the 50s and luckily in a almost perfect condition. when i found it on ebay i wasn't sure if it would fit me right ... it's always a little challenging to buy hats online without trying them on ... but if you want to buy hats online without getting dissapointed, try not to spend to much money on.  sadly most of the old hats (20s - late 50s) go up, because they're so rare.

this little black hat i got it for 9€ including shipping. score!!!
