... i really wear a lot of blue these days. a couple of years ago i remember myself talking about how much i hate the colour blue on me!

Perfect Saturday And More New Glasses

saturday was perfectly warm and sunny ... so i was able to go to two flea markets! i came home with a new 50s suitcase filled with lots of nice bargains ... this is what i wore to the market ... blue cardi: h&m // late 50s handmade dress: ebay // vintage heart belt: thrifted // flats: primark // bag: flea market // bluebangle: thrifted // handmade peticoat: ebay ... after i came home i changed a little for having some ice cream in the city ... belt: came with a vintage dress // wedges: c&a // vintage purse: flea market // bangles: flea market // 60s gold doublet anchor pendant: my fav buy from yesterdays flea market!

... and i am wearing my second pair of new specs. love them!

New Glasses

people say: if there is a change in women's life, they change their hair ... i change my glasses. a good friend told me about a special offer from an optical store: 3 specs for 250€. usually i spend the same amount of money on just one pair. how great, i was able to pick them up the same day i ordered them. ... but i still have to wait for the sunglasses.

Office Girl ... Light Of The End Of The Tunnel

there are only a couple of weeks left till i finish work at my old work place ... there are plans for the future ... new city, finding a new job, finding new friends, trying to realize a dream ... and before that 4 weeks of holidays around seattle ... this summer will get very special to me. sadly, i'm still waiting for a nice summer!

The Rose Hat

tanya from style me betty asked me to present a piece from her shop. i saw this adorable rose hat from the 50s/60s and i fell in love with it immediately. i was so happy when i opened the box: it matches perfectly the colour of my accessories for the wedding and it's so comftable to wear. ... you will see this little treasure worn in june!

some of my co-workers weren't even able to listen to what i said, when i talked to them the day i wore this outfit ... they were just starring at my hair, the rolls and the puffy skirt ... some things i wanted them to do aren't still done (this was some day last week) ... and for sure they don't remember ... they still wonder why i wear silly clothes and strange hair styles ... and not jeans and sporty shoes.

but yeah, this is my last month at this work place .... then i have to look for new people to scare with vintage fashion. hehehe.

i'm so sorry for the lack of comments on your lovely blogs but i'm working 6 days a week almost 10 to 15 h a day ...  after 4 weeks with this kind of work load i'm not just feeling tierd - my tierdness makes me feel like having a big bad hang over without beeing drunk! i can barely open my eyes. for this reason i hope you regret my grouchy facial expressions on the pictures above (hopefully the bf regrets me being grouchy all day long).

Office Girl ... With A 40s Twist

... this dress is perfect for long office days. it's soft and comfy ... and i really like it's details reminding me of dresses from the early 40s (the puffy sleaves, the slim waist and the crimps and pleats on the top. sadly the dress is almost more than one size to big for me. on a bigger girl you could see the 40s like details much better.

Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut ... Geschenkt & Geerbt

most of us vintage maniacs love to stroll over flea markets or thrift stores, searching for a special piece or a fun surprise, digging through boxes, bargaining about better prizes ... but what is even better than this? a lovely hand-me-down piece from someone in your family you love and adore. this months Getrödelt, Gefunden, Geerbt is about this amazing fur cape from the 40s my granny handed down to me. the little story behind the cape is almost my fav about this piece
... back in the mid 40s my granddad wanted to gift his young love (granny) something special. on the black market he found this fantastic cape. he swapped it for three big packets of sugar.  ... for a while he had to drink his tea without sugar but his lady looked adorable wearing it.
