Hat Love

today -with this post- i want to join 'getrödelt gefunden gefreut'. this little project from one of my fav german 40s/50s inspired blog beswingtes allerlei. on every first of the month you can present your favourite findings from flea markets, thrifd stores or ebay/etsy ... but it's all about ooooold vintage stuff (no things from the 80s ...).

i know, i posted this gorgeous hat already but to me this little piece is the most perfect little hat i ever found. it's from the 50s and luckily in a almost perfect condition. when i found it on ebay i wasn't sure if it would fit me right ... it's always a little challenging to buy hats online without trying them on ... but if you want to buy hats online without getting dissapointed, try not to spend to much money on.  sadly most of the old hats (20s - late 50s) go up, because they're so rare.

 ... true 'bomb girl' fashion ... this magazine is all about using left over fabrics ... oh, yeah, sunday is my personal bomb girls night. every sunday i watch the new episode from the second season that's originally  aired in canada on wednesdays.

sadly the flea market wasn't too exciting ... but a boring flea market is better than no flea market.

have you ever seen a bag like this? i found this little treasure on ebay. the seller offered it as a piece from 50s/60s. when i first saw the auction i actually couldn't believe this bag would be from this time - but the materials and the way it's made it's totally early 60s.

Dressing Table

... this girls (and boys) is the christmas present i gifted to myself ... this gorgeous 50s dressing table is almost in mint condition. i found it on ebay, luckily a guy from my town sold it. ... wish you all a lovely sunday!

New Year - New Shoes

on this day we visited some family members, in the end i didn't had enough time left to change my outfit into a fabulous 50s frock ... luckily we celebrated the start of 2013 with lovely friends at their home, having raclette and drinking champaign and red wine. ... and everybody was dressed more casual, so there was no need to change.
and - i wore my new booties. even as being from the early 90s i can pair them quite good with some dresses from the 50s (and they're quite warm and the little heel is quite comfy to my sick foot).

Luck Pig?

prost neujahr! ... happy new year! ... frohes neues ... 

in germany we have several mojos known as symbols for luck. the for-leaf glover, the love bug, the chimney sweeper and the 'glücksschwein'. the bf is american and he didn't knew the pig as a symbol for luck before ... our friends (we spent nye with) and i - didn't knew how to call it in english ... so we called it: 'luck pig' ... a quite german translation but funny ... hahaha ...
