Non-Sleeve Dress ...

... still in berlin ... this is what i wore today ... my fav vintage square dance dress: ebay // belt: came with a non-vintage skirt //  sandals: flea market at markthalle, berlin (2 €) // straw bag: flea market ..

as some of you may remember this dress had got a big bad rip in the right sleeve last summer ...(last winter) i had to bring to the tailor and it felt like bringing it to the hospital for a big surgery ... but the tailor did a good job fixing it and i was able to wear it after 'the surgery' ... but then it happened again  ... suddenly there was another huge rip next to the replaced part in the sleeve. this time the tailor told my, that the fabric of the sleeves is far too brittle to fix it again. so the only chance to save my dress was to remove the sleeves. it took me months to do it ... but finally some weeks ago, i cut them off.  

what do you think about my new old dress ?

yesterday we went to the flea market. we've been quite lucky - even when it started raining - we found some nice pieces at neukölln's flowmarkt (later we went to flohmarkt at markthalle kreuzberg). to be true, i felt a little bit shocked about the prices. things like dresses and skirts are so expensive here in berlin - especially on flea markets ... markets at the countryside are much cheaper! so i decided to buy more bags and less dresses ... hahahaha.

yesterday we found this amazing opel rekord from the early/mid 70s standing next to mine. i remember my grand parents had one like this when i was a child ...

tomorrow we want to go to one of berlin's sunday flea markets ... i still can't decide which one i prefer ... mauerpark flohmarkt or flowmarkt in neukoelln ... hopefully the weather will be as great as today ...

hello, out there! sorry for the little lack of posts but i'm on holidays and the bf and i are traveling around germany ... we spend some days at my mum's home and celebrated my 35th birthday there. we made some great tours with the car: we saw a lot of vineyards, old castles and chateaus close to the river rhein, ate some great stuff, drank some great wine ...  yesterday we arrived in berlin ... we went to see a friends concert, had some cheap and yummy indian lunch, did some thrift shopping. 

next time i will post some pictures about our little tour de germany ... have a great upcoming weekend.

A Little Walking

 ... these are my thrift finds ... vintage betty barcley, 90s pink silk top, vintage straw bag, fake fur stole, another pleates skirt, tapestry bag, morroco leather bag and a vintage checkered skirt for fall ...

since last monday i'm walking without crutches ... i'm still hobbling but i'm trying to walk as normal as possible ... on saturday i decided to stop by my favourite charity shop. the first time after 3 month i did some real thrift shopping. i was so excited about it - especially going there by bike! after this little trip both feet were hurting so much but one day after it feels like it was a good practice for mylame feet and legs.

as you can see in the pictures above i found some great things.  ... oh, i bought some flats on monday after i saw the doc  ... after he told me: "now, walk!" ... sadly this summer i won't be able to wear heels.

.... i leave you now because i have to do a littel sewing (fixing).

i spent the whole weekend with watching this amazing canadian show: bomb girls. sadly there are just 6 episodes of the first season ... now i have to wait for the second which isn't even shot. it's the best series i've seen after mad men!  ... great 40s costume design! i felt so inspired that i had to find my '70s does 40s suit' in the deep of my closet ... actually i never wore this one in public before because i always felt so pale in it ... what do you think: pale or not pale?
