About The Little Things ...

past saturday was the perfect day to find small but delecate and glamorous things ... we were lucky to be  able to go to three flea markets this day (one we just found per chance!). even it's still cold more and more non professionel sellers start to sell again and propably this fact made me find a bunch of 40s-50s-60s ear clips, brooches and necklaces for extremely little money. i really like the little golden evening bag and the blue painted straw bag - but i'm totally in love with these two reddish brown real leather specs cases from the 60s (first picture). 

... i still don't know what to keep in the blue box from the 50s. it's in a almost perfect condition ... maybe i can store my flimsy summer gloves in there ... or my newly found ear clips ...

in this months issue of Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut i like to show you one of my fav recent finds. it's the perfect piece for a never ending winter and a perfect weapon against freezing fingers on a cold flea market on saturday morning ... a  muff. some weeks ago a found a brown one (2€) on the local flea market but i was actually looking for a nice black one that would fit my adored 50s coat. past weekend i found myself again bargaining with a flea market seller about lowering the prize of her astrachan/persian lamb muff but again she wanted too much. luckily on the same day i noticed almost the same muff on ebay. i won it for almost 10€ including shipping! doesn't it look nice as a simple handbag as well?

Little Sheep

Lost Hat

... this is what i wore past friday to work and saturday to the flea market before i turned sick again ... i spent the whole week in bed. three days with high fever ... cowgirl blouse: primark // vintage denim skirt: thrifted // vintage aigner belt: thrifted // boots: buffalo // straw bag: flea market ... 

actually i wore a hat with these rolls but when i took these pictures i wasn't able to find it anymore!!! so i had to shoot the outfit without the hat but with flattened hair and rolls. ... days after i found the hat peacefully waiting in my bag!

... Flea Market Season Has Started!

 ... i just forgot to post this pictures from past saturday ... we went to the first outdoor flea market. the weather was nice and sunny but darn cold. ... early 60s fake fur coat: ebay // cardi: primark // vintage belt: thrifted // vintage skirt: beacon's closet, ny // warming brown 70s boots: bought them on the flea market and wore them the whole day // early 50s straw bag: ebay (in real life it matches the colours of the skirt much better) // 1952 sunnies: ebay ... just an easy early morning flea market outfit ...

... some more of my finds ... a brown 70s bag, a pink-ish 80s bag with a lovely bow and a checkered 50s bag ... white and dark blue two tones ... and a vintage hairdresser set for young ladies. love it. i really don't know what to do with it but it was too cute and too cheap not to be bought.

Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut ... Vintage Dirndl

 

 

 

i have a new passion: vintage dirndl. i found a nice store on ebay selling dirndls from almost every era ... as being a lucky vintage girl once in a while, i got a bunch of 50s/60s dirndls for an amazingly tiny price. some of them are made to be worn with a fluffy petticoat. sadly the aprons are missing but i suppose i won't wear them in a classical way, anyhow.

my interest in dirndls started past summer when i stumbled over a handmade dirndl with a gorgeous late sixties print on ebay  and after i got my hands on two german petticoat trachten skirts from the late 50s.

something you have to know: i was never on oktoberfest. for sure i don't want to go there.
