thanks you so much for your lovely comments on my last post. those words really mean a lot. ... my grandmother is doing a little better - but the doctors aren't still able to tell us more details ... the only thing i can tell is, that my granny is a strong lady - especially if i think about her age of 88 years!

... as some of you might remember ... our bath room got more and more wet every day. yesterday the workers finally found a broken toilette tube (yeah, yaaaah, yippieh... toilette! ... yuck!).
... now we're without a bathroom for a few ... yes ... days? hours? weeks? as i type these words i don't have a working toilette in my flat. no, there is even no toilette in the flat. it's sitting in front of our door in the stairwell. if i'm lucky, the workers will put it back in today ... they gave us the keys to an empty flat two stairs down, so we can use the bathroom there - but in this place the lights aren't installed yet.

Vintage Means, To Learn To Say Goodbye

this is what i wore to the office last week ... cardi: collectif // 50s cotton dress: ebay // belt: from my mum // early 60s shoes: thrifted // wicker bag: flea market ... when i left the office i sadly noticed that the right shoe was broken ... actually i just bought them a few months ago ... but somethimes it is like that if you buy something vintage - you have to learn to say goodbye.

it would be so easy, if there were just things in life to loose ... just the last few days i broke a cute 50s plastic brooch, i ripped a jag in my new old 50s fashion magazine, found a hole in a lovely vintage dress and almost lost a sole of a super comfortable and chic shoe ... in a normal situation of life i would go crazy about things like that happning to me ...

but these days i'm getting prepared to say goodbye to one of the most beloved poeple in my little world ... and suddenly i don't remember how it feels to be sad about the loss of a broken brooch or shoe ... 

actually this post was already finished, just waiting to get posted ... but then i heard about my granny was sent to the hospital with cancer past thursday ... and suddenly the whining about shoes felt super silly. ( ... but for sure this feeling will come back some sunny day ... )

hey, spend as much time as you can with the poeple you love  ... life is short.

the weather looks great and warm today ... hopefully i will be able to wear some great non-work outfits these days ... for sure there will be some going-out outfits, because the man has a gig and is dj-ing this weekend.

... these days i'm pretty busy with working overtime in the office, packing things i sold on ebay, dealing with craftsmen in my bathroom every couple days (there must be a leaking tube in the wall ... but no one finds it ... so the bathroom turns slowly into an aquarium) ... have a dry (good) week!

Flea Market Sailor

funny to see that i choose several times sailor inspired outfits to go flea market shopping during the past few weeks ... probably it's just because the dress and those sailor pants are so darn comfy ... the perfect choice for getting up early on sunday morning.

The Light Blue Flea Market Experience
