pencil skirt

this saturday's outfit ...  vintage coat: thrifted // top: zara // white singlet: karstadt // 80s stretch skirt: thrifted (3€) // vintage belt: came with a skirt // tights: h&m // two tones: deichmann (for flea market shopping in the cold i wore those booties) // 70s straw bag: flea market // vintage rose pendant: flea market // handmade 50s gloves: from yesterday's flea market, i had to wear them right away  ...

some of you might know, that i really have problems to find good fitting pencil skirts. normally a pencil skirt that fits on the hips is far too wide on the waist and a skirt that would fit on the waist perfectly would be far too slim to get pulled over my wide hips ... this is one of the reasons i prefer wide and flared skirts ...
some days ago i found this soft and stretchy pencil skirt. it fits almost perfectly, it's super comftable, warm and - ha - i'm able to ride a bike when i wear it. i suppose, you will see this skirt a lot this winter season ...

  8. So pretty! I love the mix of print, texture and details...and that is a great skirt. It seems like I can only find pencil skirts that fit in thrift stores, and even then it takes a while to find the right ones. All the cute new ones are too straight for my waist and hips too.

  10. I think it's quite impresseive you can ride a bike in a pencil skirt.

Also, your hair is so cool. I want to go blonde this summer :)

  12. I have the SAME problem with pencil skirts...I still don't own any because my waist is small and my hips are bigger :P Plus being short and curvy, I feel like they're generally unflattering to me. But this skirt is PERFECTION!!! I'm quite jealous...it's so elegant and just skims along your body perfectly.

  14. I'm loving your shoes... sort of a wing-tip meets saddle shoes. Want!

And that skirt is amazing on you, you're slim... but would never be mistaken for a boy from behind!

  15. i'm the same with skirt and pants, etc. my waist is a fair bit smaller than the rest of me so i always find that dresses that fit me up the top are too big around the waist, ans same for skirts, it's such a shame! but lucky you for finding a perfectly fitting pencil skirt!

  16. This gloves are so elegant and sexy I have problems to not just stare at them :-D But the whole outfit is adorable and suits you so well! The coat looks cool too, would love to find a beautiful vintage coat like this for myself too! I had to smile when you told about your problem concerning pencil skirts. It's exactly my issue with them as well! The one on the picture is perfect for you indeed.

    Love Sara xx

By the way: I must say I am a little bit jealous of your signed Giger book ;-) Would love to have one too! He lives not far away from my home and I know several people who know him, but never had the chance to see him myself. I think he is a very fascinating person and artist.
