Sunday Dress

i bought this dress in seattle two months ago. for some reasons i was waiting for a special occasion to wear it the first time. today was a beautiful bright summer sunday and i felt this might be the perfect day to wear it to the flea market ... 50s dress: lucky dry goods, seattle // vintage belt: thrifted  (sadly the loop got lost today) // 50s straw hat: thrifted, somewhere in oregon // dragon fly brooch: flea market // wedges: c&a // h&m bag: flea market ...

this dress could turn into my new fav dress. it's perfect and you can mix it with almost every colour. ... today on the flea market i found a pair of crocheted yellow gloves. they looked amazing with the dress but it got so hot again that i even had to get rid of my hat ... (i changed into my new headband/bow thing - i got the day before) ... so, i didn't thought about adding gloves to this outfit.
next to the gloves i found a couple of marilyn monroe books, a sewing magazine from the early 50s, a few vintage pieces and some repro/vintage style pieces ... i'm doing much better in my new city as i supposed to do.

  2. Oh this is dress is so pretty! I can see how it will be a new favorite! I'm so sick of the heat. I swore I wouldn't wear jeans until November, but I did last week and I nearly died in the heat!

  7. It would become a fast and firm favourite of mine as well. I love the classic shape, pattern and colour palette, which will go with such an awesome array of accessories, cardigans, shoes, etc. Terrific find on your US trip, honey!

  12. This dress has such a great shape! I love the neckline. It is definitely one of those types of dresses that you could wear during the day, or jazz it up with fancy accessories to wear in the evening too.
