Inspirations From The Past // July 1957

summer 2014 is on a pause ... it's pretty chilly for some days now and since this early morning it's raining cats and dogs. to keep us warm i post some gorgeous inspirations from the summer of 1957. actually this is one of my favourite magazines out of my collection, but - as you can see - i bought it already with a rip ... if i could, i would wear all these beautiful pieces ... nothing better than stripes, lemons, dots, plissée, plaid, yellow and shorts ... eeeeek!
what is your favourite?

  1. Lemons! I bought a lemon print skirt recently that I am beyond excited to receive, and of course now I'm noticing lemons everywhere.
I also love that crop top and shorts combo, and the expression on the face of the woman in the striped romper (6th from the top). So sassy.

  3. All of those dresses are gorgeous, but I think number two with all that pleating stole my heart! Gosh, what an epic job that would have been! ♡

  7. My mouth quite literally tumbled open at the sight of that lemon print dress. It's sublime - and my style to a total tee. If only I could find one just like in my size still these days!
