Happy Thanksgiving!

this is what i wore to my first thanksgiving ... my most favourite 50s dress: ebay // vintage aigner belt: thrifted // vintage cowboy boots: flea market // late 50s bag: flea market ... first i went out with the lovely 30s to 40s coat but my curls got hurtfully stuck in the fur applications (stop giggling!) so i changed into my so called 'the sheep' jacket ...

as being married to an american, i celebrated my first thanksgiving this year. but we had to celebrate early  - almost 10 days ago -  because everyone (friends) has to work tonight! the food was delicious, i met some great new people and lovely friends ... so it was just big fun!

Best Dress-ed: Storms Magasin

 

 

 

i haven't done a 'best dress-ed' post for almost 2 years ... winter - which isn't my fave season for dressing up - is the perfect time to start with this all over again.

today i want to start with the beautiful pia from storms magasin. the 50s style of this danish blogerette is wonderful and absolutely true vintage. visiting her blog means to me to end up in 'dress envy' every time i go there ... she might own one of the best collections of 50s dresses i have ever seen. but there are not just the dresses  ... the hat, the brooch, the hair, the bag, the coat .... every single detail is perfectly vintage.

sadly she is mostly writing in danish, so i'm sadly not able to understand. but for speaking no danish i just enjoy looking at her simple-but-gorgeous smart phone shots taken in front of her filled wardrobe ...

since 1h i have internet in the new flat! hahaha! now i can start to read all your blogs again. yeah!

some weeks ago i discovered this amazing book on german ebay called 'everyday fashion from the thirties - as pictured in sears catalogs'. i love it so much that i ordered book about the forties right after i received it. now i'm on the hunt for the 50s book but it seems to be totally rare in germany ... today i leave you with some great wintery coats and sweaters from the earliest 30s. i hope you enjoy this picture heavy post.
