thank you so much for your lovely wishes, dear friends. sadly i'm still struggling with some virus-leftovers (no actually it's just another brand new cold ...), so i didn't spent much time outside the house around christmas. just wearing the comfiest and propably the hugest sweater i own. - above you see my christmas outfit before we left to my granny's and before i crawled back into the sweater at my mum's ...

actually i had ironed this dress some days before i wore it - but silly me hung a couple of dresses in front of it ... because of that the wide flared cotton skirt looked quite squeezed again on the pictures ... i'm sorry i'm no good house wife.

the next days i will show you the amazing christmas present i gifted to myself ...  hahaha.

for christmas i leave you with some pictures taken from one of my beloved vintage fashion and sewing magazines. especially today with some inspiring festive winter dresses from 1957. i hope you enjoy.

the bf and i were totally sick the past few days and felt totally miserable. some evil virus had caught us ... we both weren't able to go to work, to read a book, to read a mail or watch tv .... even sleeping didn't worked because of the hurting head, bones and eyeballs (!!!!). but now we're slowly getting back in the normal groove of christmas things ...

while writing this post i pack my little bag for the christmas days at home. this time i mostly added comfy pieces to the tiny pile ... i still don't feel like getting dressed up after this virus ... but i will be back after the 26th.

Winter Skirt

 

wow, i had this week end completly off from work ... a whole weekend, two days, wow ... the bf took me thrift shopping yesterday. this is what i wore ... black cardi: primark // warming vintage skirt: thrifted // belt with a bow: primark // shoes: thrifted years ago // straw clutch: flea market ... hahaha, look at my dirty shoes ...

ten days ago primark finally opened a store in the town i live in ... meanwhile i ran there three times to get more of these cute and simple 50s like cardigans (10€ each) ... you will see them soon in red, brown, off white, light pink, turquoise ... and i think about getting a darkblue one as well.

i will always prefer vintage clothes but i love these high street stores for their colourful selection of basic pieces . it makes life so much easier sometimes.

Checkered Work Weekend

today i'm so tired, it's my only day off work this week ... i don't get dresses ... i'll stay in bed. ... actually i can't believe that i even found a littel time to shoot these both outfits this week. phew!
