some weeks ago i discovered this amazing book on german ebay called 'everyday fashion from the thirties - as pictured in sears catalogs'. i love it so much that i ordered book about the forties right after i received it. now i'm on the hunt for the 50s book but it seems to be totally rare in germany ... today i leave you with some great wintery coats and sweaters from the earliest 30s. i hope you enjoy this picture heavy post.

This book is so marvelous!!! I have it, as well as the 1940s and 50s versions. I've probably read each 30 or more times over the years - they're as close to a real vintage Sears catalog as I've come so far, and I just adore them.
