i'm back to work for 10 days now, it's time for my first 'office girl' post after the holidays ... as long we don't have visitors in the office i can wear my hair rolled up. next week we have some important meetings, then i will wear my hair as boring as possible ... and for sure i will wear some more black, grey and white ...

i refound this little yellow 50s shrug somewhere in my suit cases i use for storage. i remember that it came with a 50s convolut i won on ebay a year ago. at this point there was nothing in my wardrobe it worked with. hey, but it goes perfectly with my blue dress i bought a couple of months ago. the perfect mix for summer ... i hope summer returns!

Dirndl Season

dirndl me ... early 60s dirndl/trachtenkleid: ebay // belt: from istanbul // wedges: primark // 50s purse: ebay // bamboo bangles: thrifted ... with those wedges i dressed it pretty modern.

dirndl season is close ... means: oktoberfest starts on the 20th of september ... as being NOT a girl from bavaria i'm not very much into oktoberfest things and i never went there - for some strange reasons i started to buy vintage dirndls from the 50s and 60s when ever i was able to get my hands on one during the last couple of years. but, i can't collect everything that's from these eras, so i decided to let some of them go on ebay ...

when i took the pictures of the dirndls i fell in love again with this little 60s dirndl. i will keep it. it is quite short, so it looks pretty girlish ... but i could let the hem out (probably about 6 cm) to make it look more classical.

what do you think? make it longer or keep it as short as it is?

Look, What He Got Me ...

some of you wanted to know what the man got me in this lovely vintage store for my birthday ... here it is: tatatataaaaa, a fantastic 50s bamboo wall decoration which is actually ment to hold flower pots (how is this actually called? anyone?) ... mine is holding vintage accessoires. the fixtures, that are actually ment to hold the flower pots are perfectly to hold hats. great i love this thing!!! (in the picture at the bottom you can see it on the left ... without any decoration)

he also got me a 50s flamingo picture and a tiny bamboo bowl to put in some broochs and a small bamboo shelf. somehow the bamboo shelf is suddenly filled with my man's vintage radio collection ... maybe he got this actually for himself ... hm ...

when i wore this outfit, i felt like being perfectly dresses to see a country show ... sadly wanda jackson wasn't in town. so we just drove to the country side to check out a new storage room ... phew.

i was looking fo a 50s blouse like this for a while. the classical 50s blouse comes with a very high neck line, which doesn't makes me feel pretty summery and - to be true - it makes me look old. i love this special neckline because it shows enough skin without being sexy.

Midcentury Paradise

when we were visiting home, we came across this little vintage shop in wiesbaden filled with furniture, decoration pieces and more knickknacks from the 30s up to the 70s ... everything is reasonable priced. if we had more room in the car, more things would have moved to berlin ... but my man got me my birthday present there ... for sure you will see it soon.

Flowers In A Field Of Yellow

when i go home for a few days i like to travel with just a small and light bag. this time i packed just 5 tops/blouses i can mix easily with my new yellow skirt and my capri pants. i really found out that this skirt goes perfectly with a lot of styles and colours - what a fabulous summery piece! for sure i will wear some of these combinations again ...

Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut ... Fall Is Calling

welcome to gefunden, getrödelt, gefreut! this month i want to show you my favourite finds from july ... my bargains from the flea market aren't very summery, because of this they remind me a little bit of upcoming fall: ... a 60s cream coloured hat, a 50s fake fur capelet (10€) and a 50s-60s patent leather bag ... the souvenir pins i won on ebay again. they are already integrated in my summer wardrobe. the scotty pins are so adorable ... (the scotties with the red heart are super special: they glow in the dark!!!! eeeeek!) ... but i love the sailor pins aswell ...and not to forget about the 'oktoberfest' pins ... so fun! (remember the last post about souvenir pins)
