Big Skirts

big skirt saturday ...  i wore my vintage petticoat the first time ... actually i just went buying groceries with the bf ... but for some reasons (playing around with my fave skirt that i definitly haven't worn enough this summer) i ended up wearing this dolled up look ... top: tally weijl // original 50s skirt: eby // vintage petticoat: ebay //  vintage belt: came with a skirt // sandals: no name // h&m bag: flea market // vintage glass bead necklace: vintage store // bangle:  from saturday's flea market ...

big skirt friday ... this is how i went to work this day ... took the shots in the bright morning light before i left for office ... blouse: h&m // top: tally weijl // vintage skirt: made in berlin vintage // belt: h&m // shoes thrifted // bag: flea market // peacock feather earrings: thrifted // yellow bangle: bought in brazil ...

propably these are the last warm days this year because of that i really try to wear my big skirts as much as i can ... i really hate the challenge in winter time to find the right boots for this kind of skirts. especially this year i'm afraid of the cold, because i'm still not able to wear heels ... and i still don't know what to wear with my wide and flared skirts ...
yesterday i received a lovely pair of lace up boots (40s style, 30€) i won on ebay ... ha, before that on the same day i found a quite similar pair on the flea market just for a sixth of the price ... now i have two dark brown coloured lace up boots sitting in my closet ...  .

Both are lovely and look so cute.
Knee high, tight fitting leather boots will look great with both those skirts, I'm sure with your thrifting luck you'll find a pair! x

Petticoats give such a great fullness to dresses! I like buying dresses with a slight petticoat under the skirt. They feel so ladylike.

Oh, sehr tolle outfits!

I adore circle/wide a-line skirts! Are they always the absolute most figure flattering thing an hourglass shape like me could wear, no, but you can temper the volume on the bottom by wearing fitted shirts or sweaters up top, but no matter what, I love them and will always ensure they're a part of my vintage wardrobe.

You look smashingly lovely in both these outfits, dear gal!

I agree with Vix, tight fitting knee boots would look great. I always have issues with coats/jackets in winter with certain skirts or dresses! Absolutely love the first skirt look, it's beautiful and the second is also lovely.

Hi,

How is your petticoat? For there are long, short, thick, thinner ...
I can not make my choice

Thanks
