most of us vintage maniacs love to stroll over flea markets or thrift stores, searching for a special piece or a fun surprise, digging through boxes, bargaining about better prizes ... but what is even better than this? a lovely hand-me-down piece from someone in your family you love and adore. this months Getrödelt, Gefunden, Geerbt is about this amazing fur cape from the 40s my granny handed down to me. the little story behind the cape is almost my fav about this piece
... back in the mid 40s my granddad wanted to gift his young love (granny) something special. on the black market he found this fantastic cape. he swapped it for three big packets of sugar. ... for a while he had to drink his tea without sugar but his lady looked adorable wearing it.

Your granny's fur cape, it is spectacular! And what a romantic story behind it :) Yes I can really see the similarity with my granny's one. It suits you beautifully, with that gorgeous red dress underneath, another great outfit my dear!
