B, B & W? blue, brown and white ... those are the colours i wear a lot lately ... probably because of my two pairs of brown lace boots i love to wear ... (one pair cozy and warm, the other less warm ... perfect for 'normal' cold winter days).

on past sunday's indoor flea market i didn't found much but i found a bunch of movie programmes from the 30s ... including movies with famous actors marika rökk, heinz rühmann, zara leander, clark gable, marlene dietrich and jean harlow.

i'm so excited about the programme from the movie 'gold nach singapore' (original titel: china seas) with jean harlow and clark gable that i have to share it with you right away ...

i hope you enjoy jean's beautiful costumes as much as i do!

what to wear to a freezing cold indoor (!) flea market in december? ... cardi: primark // long knit top: no name // 70s skirt: flea market // vintage belt: came with a skirt // ski underwear ... not visible // tights: avanti // warming faux fur lined 70s boots: flea market // beret: flea market ... not very fancy but warm enough to survive.

look what i found on past sunday's flea market ... aaaah, isn't she cute?! a creme coloured mid century purse in a quite perfect condition. the lady told me it's an east german piece from her mother. but the same lady wanted to sell typical 70s as 50s dresses. ... so i don't really know, if it's east or west german, maybe from poland or from the moon ... oh, don't think this bag is white - it's definitely creme coloured - otherwise the seller will kill you. i almost ended up in a fight with her ... crazy lady!

anyhow: mummy's got a new baby in her collection.

on this picture of the hutch is still a bottom door missing. i had to find some new tiny screws to fix the hinge band - what i did.

Welcome To The Fashion Cove

today i want to show you my new wardrobe, called 'the fashion cove'. it got it's name because it is just a little alcove in the hall next to the bed room. when everything in the hall will be ready and organized, my more vintage-y bags will go on the opposite wall of the cove (you would see them in the mirror then).

... i had to install a light rope in the alcove ... because there's no power socket ... there are hardly any outlets to plug in the whole flat ...

Winter, Winter, Winter Boots

this is what i wore some days ago, when i took a load of clothes to the consignment store ... 50s coat: thrifted // 50s dress: flea market // cardi: h&m //furry 90s booties does 40s/50s: vintage store // 50s petite points bag: flea market / vintage gloves: ebay // 50s hat: ebay ... sadly there's still not much more room in my new walk in closet ....

yeah, look at my new furry little booties. i really love the furry winter booties from miss l fire but i can't wear those 'high' heels anymore ... so i had to find something else that work with a vintage wardrobe. recently i found those 90s booties at a local vintage shoe store. they are almost in a mint condition, warm, comfy ... and they do a quite good job being mixed with vintage-y looks.

sorry for the blurry pictures but the less light makes it quite challenging to shoot good pictures ...

Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut ... Weihnachtsschmuck

this months getrödelt, gefunden, gefreut is about christmas bulbs and co. ... we refound our huge collection of antique christmas bulbs two weeks ago when we unpacked our boxes after the move ... most of these bulbs are from the 30s to 60s and made from mercury class and are hand painted, some are older and some are a little younger (so the purple one in the first picture might be from the late 60s/early 70s. look at it's print)... the man bought them during the past two years on several flea markets and thrift shops in the south of germany. as it's part of his vintage business, he already sold the most fanciest ones (little mercury glass trains, a zeppelin, frogs and other animals ...). here you see the more common bulbs from these past eras. just some of them will stay with us, most of them are on ebay right now. sniff.

... to be honest, i'm not the biggest christmas person ... actually the man calls me 'the crinchette' ... so it's fine to me to let them go to better homes filled with enthusiastic christmas lovers.
