this months getrödelt, gefunden, gefreut is about christmas bulbs and co. ... we refound our huge collection of antique christmas bulbs two weeks ago when we unpacked our boxes after the move ... most of these bulbs are from the 30s to 60s and made from mercury class and are hand painted, some are older and some are a little younger (so the purple one in the first picture might be from the late 60s/early 70s. look at it's print)... the man bought them during the past two years on several flea markets and thrift shops in the south of germany. as it's part of his vintage business, he already sold the most fanciest ones (little mercury glass trains, a zeppelin, frogs and other animals ...). here you see the more common bulbs from these past eras. just some of them will stay with us, most of them are on ebay right now. sniff.
... to be honest, i'm not the biggest christmas person ... actually the man calls me 'the crinchette' ... so it's fine to me to let them go to better homes filled with enthusiastic christmas lovers.
ok, let's check out this month's purchases of the other bloggers taking part on getrödelt, gefunden, gefreut over at beswingtes allerlei.

They are amazing. Have a wonderful christmastree with it
Best wishes
Alexandra
oh they are so pretty! I recognise the style from family tree's, I have some old ones which I should look after a little better x x x
Hallo :)
Ich finde diese alten Kugeln bzw. Den Weihnachtsschmuck wirklich schön, es hat so eine gewisse Ausstrahlung die neue Kugeln auf mich nicht immer haben.
Lieben Gruß
Björn :)

;) I used to have this balls at home when I was a little girl! I remember, but I think we burnt them because I was tired of seen them. I like Christmas a little bit, but they are always too much :S and I think they could last just a day and it would be enough ;)
How wonderful! Have fun decorating!

Oh i do love those old christmas decorations! I am trying not to do too much of the dfferent colours though, it doesnt really fit at our home and can be a little to much... We try to collect from family and at fleamarkets, but they have become REAALLY expensive, just the last two years, here in Norway.
Cant wait to decorate our tree with them!
