this is what i wore to my man's birthday last saturday ... my first 50s novelty print skirt! ... top: h&m // 50s skirt: made in berlin store // vintage belt: gifted // shoes: no name // 60s bag: ebay ... (later the day i changed into my up to the knee lace up boots) we went out to have some veggie burgers and nachos at tiki heart and met some friends later ...
isn't this skirt fun? every little picture of it's print tells a little story ... ... the dresses the girls wear, the little cars and houses, even the bearing of the tiny people taking a stroll on the car port .... the details are so amazing and i really love the summery flair. there are hundreds of ideas in my mind how to mix the skirt with things out of my wardrobe. i can't wait for summer! - but for now i just dressed it fun and simple for a cold winter day.
do you like novelty prints? what is your favourite novelty print piece?

That is an amazing print on that skirt! Love how you've put the striped top with it.

What a lovely skirt!
Yes, I love novelty prints but I think like everybody who are wearing vintage... that's why they are so hard to find and often so expensive!
One of my favorite is a 40's skirt that I have with colorfull chichens and eggs, perfect for easter!
Der Rock ist ja entzückend! ♥♥♥
LOVE this skirt! I do like novelty prints and I usually prefer the ones where the print requires a closer inspection before you realise how awesome they are (such as your skirt!) I don't collect them like some do but I do have a couple including a skirt which is on its way to me!
it's an amazing skirt! the prints are lovely, I would love one! the striped top is gorgeous with the print - your bag is gorgeous, actually all of your bags are!!
Oh that is the most amazing print......I just love novelty prints from the 50's.....yes I do have a few and they are such fun.
You look so very pretty today.

I very much love this skirt. Great 50s novelty print skirts are actually harder to come by then one would think! I would have bought this skirt in a heart beat. Love it! I've just started paying more attention to rayon 40s novelty prints. They are so much fun. I love that you have to get in closer to really see what is happening with the prints. I also love the theme of palm trees on 50s skirts. I just recently picked up some sunset palm tree fabric that I'd like to make a skirt out of. Wonderful outfit!
This skirt is beautiful! Love your style!
What an adorable and really versatile skirt!
Wow! That skirt is great! Love all those scenes of beautiful girls in the print. So fun! I hope the winter is not being too hard there. I'm also excited to see come spring. Lot of kisses,
Thoroughly marvelous skirt - that pattern is a riot of whimsy, sweetness and beauty! This look is aces, dear gal!

Ha! That's so cute. You could really make up some stories for some of these characters on your skirt. I have some similar fabric with art deco 1920's ladies in various elegant poses... I need to make something with it! Maybe a skirt!
Oh man the print on your skirt is adorable and so cute! I love this. I also really enjoy how perfect the print mixing works in this outfit. You look wonderful, as usual!
Aaw that is so qute! Would love to own one of my own, dont have anything with novelty print accually. Always so expensive when i find something i like in my size...
Ah. Need some inspiration to sew more...
Have a great day sweetie!
Der Rock ist wirklich wunderschön
Liebst, dein Perlchen Noir
der Rock ist ein Traum, perfekt für den Valentinstag... muss dringend mal wieder zu MiB! xxx
LOVE IT!! I love novelty prints in general, but this one is great especially because it's on a black background. I find far too many are on white, and then they automatically seem summery.
I couldn´t agree more. You know I am a sikirt lover, and they really do.
You are looking fabuloussssssssssss
Der Rock ist so süß! Richtig toll!
