Office Girl ... Vintage Skirts & Modern Tops

50s-60s coat: ebay // top: primark // 50s skirt: simply vintage, portland // shoes: clarks // 60s bag: flea market ... black blazer not pictured ...

coat: ebay // blazer: found // top: gina trikot // 50s skirt: ebay // shoes: clarks // straw purse: ebay // 50s necklace: thrifted in the usa ...

the easiest way to wear vintage to work is to mix a modern top with a vintage skirt .... it's comfortable and gives the the look a modern and more 'normal' touch.
i found out, on days without having visitors in the office i'm even able to wear my hair rolled up. ... yeah.

Das erste Outfit gefält mir besonders gut. die Handtasche erinnert mich von der Form her an die alten Arztkoffen :)

I totally agree, it's so hard finding vintage blouses anyway and you need something easy to wash for workwear! ;)

Yay, that you can wear more vintage style hair to work! I love wearing modern knit tops with big vintage skirts. They are also easier to care for and require no ironing unlike many vintage blouses.
Both outfits look so cute on you, too, by the way.

I do the same thing all the time. I find it so hard to find vintage tops that fit right, so mixing modern tops with vintage bottoms is kind of a necessity. Your outfits are really cute too; love that first one.

Wonderfully lovely outfits post! I adore off-the-shoulder and scoop neck tops styles like this for summer (okay, and occasionally winter, too, like last January when I posed in a black jersey one on the snow covered banks of a river and shivered like a leaf in the wind :)). You look terrific, dear gal!
