the only time of the year germans wear the colours of the flag is soccer season. this is what i wore to watch the first game of the german team at the soccer world cup last week. the german team was lucky to beat portugal by 4:0. awesome! let's see how they do vs. ghana tonight!

What Comes Around Goes Around

this is the 'making of' shoot of the pictures i took of some dresses i sell on ebay ... i don't sell true  mid century pieces there, mostely 70s/80s does 50s and other 'younger' vintage dresses ... on the day of the 'shoot' it was super hot and i was without make up and just the left over hairdo from the day before ... just sweating and working.

Office Girl ... No Black

i own this top for years now - but i barely ever wear it. it's almost impossible to pair with a jacket because of it's collar and it's pretty hard too find a good working colour for the bottom ... i always end up wearing this top with blue.

Hit Me Hard

this morning i felt like wearing some old and precious friends to the flea market. 70s cardi: thrifted // 50s cowgirl dress: ebay // vintage aigner belt: thrifted //  peeptoe flats: flea market // wicker purse: flea market // head band and bamboo bangles: thrifted in the usa ... i suppose, i bought the dress, cardi, shoes and bag in 2009 or 2010 ... to be true,  i love them to pieces.

... here are today's finds

i have to say, i was pretty lucky in finding some amazing mid century pieces again ...  blue early sixties asian wiggle dress (actually i thought it would be to small, ha, it's a little too big), another early sixties dress made from waffle piqué with a romantic rose print (needs a new zipper, for sure my talented tailor will help with both dresses), a white 50s blouse with lovely lace details, a yellow late 50s blouse and ...(drum roll)... this 30s-40s lite rosé blouse in a pretty good condition (sadly this guy is actually too big for me, it looked so tiny on the hanger). ... apart fom that i got a vintage swallow pin some gorgeou old buttons and a lovely pair of shoes. sadly i recognized that the patent leather is almost falling apart not before i came home. it always does! - if you ever find me again buying vintage patent leather shoes: hit me, hit me hard!

this is what i wore to work on tuesday. it's not a classical office look but i was there all alone again ... so i decided to go for a very early 50s look with my beloved chambray dress, bamboo purse and some curls. no one got vexed by my vintage-y appearance.

on monday it was ultra hot and humid here in berlin, almost 35° celsius ... 95°farenheit ... i felt like melting ...

Office Girl ... Colour Palette

look at these two skirts, they totally have the same colour palette.  the second one i bought some years ago here in berlin, it's one of my favourite skirts for work since then. ... then some weeks ago - when i wore this 'old' skirt - i found the skirt with the novelty print in a vintage store. i was so surprised when i realized that the skirt i wore and the skirt i tried on were made from exact the same colours (except hte white) ... call me nuts! i had to buy it.

i put it on the same hanger with the other black, green, blue, purple-ish skirt ... and forgot about it hiding in the closet. when i pulled my good old trustworthy out of the wardrobe last week, the 'new' skirt came back to life ...

Hot Hot Heat

i talked to my granny on the phone right before i started working on the post. she is doing ok - but she feels weak and she doesn't drink enough water. probably this is the biggest problem right now ... not the cancer. ... maybe i will visit her in a few weeks.

Office Girl ... Went To A Vintage Market

Office Girl ... A Lot Of Black & White

thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last outfit post. i'd wish i could dress up like this every day ...the work week is half over so i just have two boring and mostly black & white coloured office looks for you ... but that's life: boring.

Sunday Sailor

Getrödelt, Gefunden, Gefreut ... Super Vintage May

welcome to this months GGG ... known as 'getrödelt, gefunden, gefreut'. in may i missed a lot of flea markets but i was pretty lucky on the couple i went to ... i never got my hands on so many true vintage pieces ...

one of my favourite finds is the 50s straw bag with the beautiful black decoration and the bamboo handle. what a classic vintage piece. sadly it spent some time in a stinky attic. i put it in a plastic bag with coffee pads to take the smell away. hopefully it works. 

the round bag with the beautiful 50s novelty print is actually a box for a sun lamp. it still has it's guaranty in it - but no lamp! i wanna use it as a hat box.

i'm super happy that i found some more plastic souvenir pins ... and i had to buy the fur pins. they are in a pretty rough condition and i don't know, if i ever want to wear them - but i got both  for 2,50€ (+ the riding brooch).

a super special find to me is the 50s weenie dog family made from morano glass. aren't they adorable?! they don't live here anymore. the weenies moved to the states. we gifted them to my man's mum, who is a huge enthusiast for dachshunds. now her three real dackel (dachshund) have some tiny new friends.
