goodbye and hello ... flea market

flea market finds ... a colourful bubble dress from the 70s (you can wear it in different ways and length, brilliant), a black leather bag, two brown bags, original 70s wedges, a flowered skirt, a blue & white 80s belt and some tiny jewelery...
flea market-sourvival-outfit (not shown: two other coats for warming me in the evening and the early morning) ... woolen long cardi: missy // top: mango // belt and shorts: from two different flea markets // bag: thrifted // tights: h&m // boots: flea market schlachthof wiesbaden // necklace: vintage ebay

Friday and today some friends and I were selling clothes, shoes, accessoiries and other cute stuff at the local spring flea market. I had been pretty successful. I started selling with four enormous bags filled with clothes and shoes... when I came home I carried only one. the spring weather was very pleasent with us. The sun was shining most of the time. Only in the evening and the early morning I had to layer three coats to keep me warm ...

As you can see in these pictures above I was lucky to find some beautiful bargains, too.

fl - fle - flea -market

Back home with filled bags after sunday's fleamarket... blazer: fleamarket and altered // tee: bought it at a festival market and altered it // pants: 7 for all mankind // shoes: blue velvet // black cotton bag: american apparell // cd bag: saalbau flea market frankfurt
Past sunday a friend and I went to Saalbau Bornheim fleamarket again... This time I found four gorgeous belts, two bags, some nice jewelery and a pair of beautiful darkblue wedges (back home I had to notice, they're slightly too small ...)
I really love this fleamarket. It's big fun listening to all the (old) ladies talk while selling their lovely old treasures.
I think, I gonna go there again in april.

Flea Market Season....

Sunday's Fleamarket buys ... three bags, a blazer, a shorty 90s bouclé short, golden bracelet, a red polak dotted silk scarf, the most beautiful sandals on heels (they're far too small but I had to buy them) and a vintage Cerruti belt (ha! 1,50€ I still can't believe...)
Wearing the new shorts and scarf on monday... blazer: zara // top: h&m // scarf: fleamarket // short: fleamarket // belt: thrifted // two tights: wolford and h&m // boots: vintage ebay // bag: fleamarket (... a few years ago) // brooch: fleamarket (last year...) // earrings: from Wiesbaden
Past sunday my best friend and I started this years fleamarket season.
We went to Frankfurt to check out a market we've never been before. It's a great place for winter fleamarkets because it's canopied and inside... and warm.
My friend was a little bit disappionted, because she didn't found enough girls selling their highstreet fashion or designer items. '... Too much old ladies selling their stuff in here ... I know, you love that! It's your turn...' and it definitly was. I suppose, I will go there again in march...
I already arranged a timetable for this years fleamarket season. I'm a truly fleamarket addict. Nutty as a fruitcake!

Tired...

I wore this outfit on sunday and monday. For monday I just changed the stripy top ... with another stripy one.
top: h&m // scarf: thrifted // pants: from my boyfriend and altered // belt: thrifted // flats: deichmann // bracelet: six
...I'm still soo tired from the fashionfleamarket/fashionwalk-event friends and I arranged last sunday. It was very hard to complete all the things for this event secondary to general work during the past weeks.
But it was worth the trouble! The fleamarket was crowned with big success!! Lots of people came to sell their old clothes and more than hundred - mostly girls - came to do their sale of the century... I think, lots of them did.
The fashionwalk showing the work of local designers and labels turned out to be a little chaotic but it was quite amazing too.
Me and my friends were selling aswell. I made quite good money... And I didn't bought only one piece. Me on a fashionfleamarket buying NOTHING. I still can't believe - my boyfriend, too. I was far to buisy to look around to find a bargain... By the way ... I have to save my money on a trip to NY!
I was very lucky to meet some bloggerettes at the fleamarket... Lydia from Les magnifiques and Katie from Weltenbummlerin: 'Wünsche euch viel Spass mit dem Gürtel und den Stiefeln!'
All things considered the event was a big success. My friends and I think about to rerun such a market-event in early 2010.

Kommt Vorbei!

infos: 603 qm
Also, es gibt was zusehen....
// This post is written in german because the e-flyer above advertises a fleamarket-event I'm working on for weeks. Most readers of my blog don't live in germany, because of that I decided to write in german. //

Invasion Of Boots

left to right: suede western boots: schlachthof wiesbaden fleamarket // brown boots: dieburger fleamarket // blue flowered flats and studded lace booties: schlachthof wiesbaden fleamarket // picture frame, yellow leather belt and darkblue boots: dieburger fleamarket

These are my fleamarket finds from yesterday and the previous saturday. It's an invasion of shoes... I did have tons of shoes before but now I don't know where to keep them... The studded-leather- lace-booties and the suede western ones had been a steal! I got each pair for only 1 €! I still can't believe it.

These two other pairs of boots came from a shop closing actually. The owners were selling their old items from the storage at the fleamarket at Dieburg. These boots are almost over 20 years old but totally unworen! Got them for 10 and 8 €. I was looking for darkblue boots for so long!

This should be the satisfaction of my shoe-needs! I know it won't.

Jewelery Fishing

On saturday me and my best friend went to a a fleamarket in a suburb of my hometown. Actually I was looking for some 80s rollerskates but I couldn't find only one pair!!!!
Instead of buying blades, I succumbed to the love of fishing for some vintage accessoires. I got some nice necklaces and two leather bags ...
My favourite find is the fish necklace. It's wonderfully strange. Good catch!

Happy Fleamarket

I spent a lot of beautiful hours on a fleamarket in my hometown. The weather showed all it's friendliness by making the weekend sunny and enjoyably warm.
I've never been to this market before, because I always missed the date. A lot of people had told me, this market would be one of the best in my hometown. So I was very excited to go there.
It was much smaller then I had expected it... but very nice.
I found two gorgeous leather bags, three belts, a small dark blue purse, a skirt with small flowers, two fantastic bracelets and two 80s blazers. One of them was woren as confirmation-jacket. It looks like a boy's school-uniform.
The second one reminds me a bit of Victoria Beckham's sharp shoulder padded blazers from balmain... I decided to remove the pads, because my shoulders are to straight to wear 'big-shoulders'. On the foto above, you see the blazer before I changed it. The boy's jacket already left it's shoulder pads, too. The bracelet I found is one of the most beautiful trinkets I've ever seen. It's colours and floral desing looks adorable. I love it! It's much prettier in reallity. The picture seems to be a little blurred, I'm sorry!
I think, I can call myself quite successful by getting my hands on all the nice goods. Can't wate to wear all this stuff....

What To Wear On A Fleamarket...

above // saturday's experience // denim dress: avanti // colourful belt: vintage // red old flats: görtz17 // bag: american apparel // earrings: schmuckrausch // ring: from my father's cousine // most beautiful bracelet I own: ...
bottom // friday's experience // t-shirt: american apparel // belt: vintage // hehe ...skort: vinatge // silver flats: fleamarket, some years ago // bracelet and earrings: vinatge // necklace: from my grandma

There has been a nice fleamarket on friday to saturday in my hometown... Visiting a fleamarket makes me always thing about comfi and useful outfits... Wearing heels don't make sence because you are walking too much ( lucky you out there running around for hours in heels without feeling some pains)... You need shoes you can slip in and out easily, if you want to try on shoes... Balancing on one feet while you are trying to close the straps of your 10-laces-heels isn't funny.

In addition to handy shoes you need to wear clothes that are thin enough to pull shirts, dresses, skirts - or anything you need to fit - over it. I don't buy pants very often, for this reason I don't need to pull something under. (You shouldn't wear a skort if you like to buy a pant...)
Both outfits aren't very flashy but quite seviceable...They did a good job!

Fleamarket

On sunday morning I opend up this summers fleamarket-season. Luck was on my side and I found some broochs, a necklace with hearts, a lovely 'heavy metal'-bracelet, two crazy belts, cute wallets, a leatherbag (I don't need another leatherbag actually), a summerlike 'basket' bag and - as you can see on the fotos - an old picture frame...
Needless to say some nice clothes found a new home in my wardrobe too: a flowered skirt, two blouses and an eighties blazer with short arms. The blazer is too big shouldred, so I have to alter it.. I hope my plan for sewing will work!!!

Friday: Fabulous Red Belt...

dress: its a cotton slip of a dress I bought last winter // red belt: fleamarket // jeansjacket: ltb, cologne // flats: flaemarket // bag: vintage // necklace: vintage // bracelets: from india, vintage and gucci Den rote Gürtel vom letzten Flohmarkt kann ich wirklich nur als Erfolgskauf bezeichnen.

Fleamarket Buys...

Top: pegtoppants, short necklace & bag: fleamarket at buergerpark/darmstadt // top: h&m // peaptoes: new yorker // long necklace: h&m // pendant: from my grandparents // bracelet: gift of a friend
Middle: dress, sandals & purse: fleamarket at buergerpark/darmstadt // green necklace: got it from my grandmother
